The two figures beside Janabaha Dyo are the White Tara and Green Tara (Buku tara and Luku tara), representing tears from Karunamaya Aryavalokiteshwor, which was a result of the world’s suffering. Tara, meaning ‘star’ in Sanskrit, is a prominent deity in Mahayana Buddhism, symbolizing a savior during difficult times. 

Her mantra “Om Tara Tuttare Ture Svaha” is said to assist in overcoming challenges. She emanates from the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshwora, embodying feminine compassion. There are 21 forms of Tara, which are differentiated iconographically by color, posture of the body and differing attributes. 

The most frequently encountered forms are the Green Tara (Arya Tara) and White Tara (Saptalochani Tara). Both the idols are shown for 4 days after the main diety has been installed inside the temple after rath ceremony and covered throughout the year.
