Dirgha Chhen (or longhouse) is a public property inside the Mahavihar which was built long and tall, used only by the priests and monks who lived or studied in the courtyard. The present name Digi Chhen is a corrupt form of Dirgha Chhen.

On the first floor of Digi Chhen, Chakrasamvara (known in local language as Agama) is found as the main tantric deity. However, the place is only accessible for the priests & few local Guthi members who had been working along the priests for generations.
